coffee date

it's late.
so maybe we should do decaf?

I would start off by saying that I have been figuring out how to teach the babe about God.
We have a little kids Bible.
I read it to him.
He looks at the pictures.
And that is about it.
But I feel like I should be doing more.
Maybe it's because I yearn to teach him all I can so he can grow into a mighty warrior for Christ.
But then I get nervous because I don't know all there is and I don't want to get things wrong.
So I will start small.
Read him his children's Bible.
Look at pictures.
And live it as best I can.
That's what I am here for, right?

How was your day?
Was it long, like mine?

A sweet friend came over with her boy and it was lovely.
We talked.
Our boys played.
We drank coffee and ate pizza.
It really was a coffee date on a Tuesday.
I am so thankful for beautiful friends and encouraging words.

  1. LOVE your post! You're doing all he needs at this point. He's little and doesn't need much at this point. I heard the saying years ago "Things are caught, not taught" and that's so true. You need to lead by example :) You can tell Quade things over and over but if he see's you doing the opposite of what you are saying, then he will tend to do what you do rather than what you say. Trust me, I learned this the hard way!
